Here is complete analysis of the catchers that attended the South Arkansas Prospect ID Showcase on Tuesday July14th, at Ouachita Baptist University.

Greyson Pinkett, 2016, C, Conway HS
Pinkett is a 6-foot 175-pound catcher with a medium frame and athletic build. Defensively he starts with an athletic stance, and maintains proper arm angles while receiving the baseball quietly. He threw a 1.97, 1.97 and 2.03 pop times, working through home plate, with a quick exchange. Offensively he produced exit velocities up to 86 mph. His swing is a compact line drive swing that allowed him to keep the bat in the strike zone for a long time and hit the ball to all fields. He ran a 7.21 in the 60. Overall Pinkett is a solid catcher with enough offensive aptitude to play at the next level.

Erick Aguirre, 2016, C Lakeside HS
Aguirre is a 5-foot-11 165-pound catcher with a medium frame and an athletic build. He showed a quick exchange and an accurate throwing pop times of 2.02, 2.03 and 2.06. Defensively he receives from an athletic stance and receives the ball deep with proper arm angles. Offensively he produced exit velocities up to 84 mph with a slight uphill bat path and a swing that had some length. He ran a 7.28 in the 60. Overall Aguire is a solid catcher that would benefit from adding strength as this happens all phases of his game will improve.

Lane Herndon, 2016, C, Greenbrier HS
5-foot-11 175-pound C/CIF with a medium frame and an athletic build. He threw pop times of 2.20, 2.25 and 2.35, showing an accurate arm. He would benefit from a short exchange and staying in his legs more as he throws. Offensively, his exit speeds were 78-81 mph. He has an elongated rotational swing. He showed the ability to hit the ball consistently to the pull side. He ran a 7.45 in the 60. Overall Herndon is a solid high school catcher, which would benefit from adding strength.

Andrew Cooper, 2017, C, Greene County Tech HS
Cooper is a 6-foot-1 175-pound C with a large-frame and an athletic build. Offensively he produced exit velocities of 75-77 mph. His swing is a compact swing with a slight uphill bat path. He would benefit from getting more rhythmic and a more distinct load. Defensively he received the ball with soft- hands and maintained proper arm angles. He threw pop times of 2.09, 2.15, and 2.20. He ran a 7.41 in the 60. Overall Cooper is a solid high school catcher that would benefit from adding strength over the next two seasons.

Mckinley Williams, 2017, C/OF Sheridan HS
Williams is a  6-foot-2 175-pound C/OF with a large frame and a physical build. Offensively the most impressive outfielder, showing the ability to drive the baseball to both gaps during batting practice and registering exit velocities up to 86 mph. Defensively he is raw with an elongated release and choppy footwork. He threw pop times of 2.18, 2.28 and 2.28. His times will improve as he spends more time behind the plate because he has above average athleticism and an above average arm. He ran a 6.88 in the 60. Overall Williams is a good athlete with an above average hit tool, he is raw defensively but has the tools to make him project to a high ceiling.
