- 8:00 AM Games - 

East Coast Bombers vs. Launch City 

~ Player Notes ~

Kris Blanco (SS, Cane Bay, 2020) - physical infielder with good athleticism and strong profile stood out on day 1 for his loud contact and impressive range from the SS position. Doubled to deep CF in his first AB on day 2. 

 

 

Joe Ruffalo (RHP, Kings Mountain, 2019) - thick lower half and medium build. Quick arm action, shorter on the back side to a H3Q/OTT  slot. Showed a late breaking slider with 10/4 shape. Surry CC recruit.  

 

Austin Mitchum (RHP, Hanahan, 2021) - 5-10 150lbs with room for continued develop. Landed closed of his line creating some deception. Scattered 5 runs featuring a 72-73 mph FB with heavy tendencies. 

Evan Grant (2B, Wando, 2020) - Twitchy athlete with upside. Will need to work on more consistent contact but his reactions and athletic ability will give him a chance. Will circle back later this weekend. 

Karolina Kraken vs. Pro Fit Spartans

~ Player Notes ~

Charlie Carpenter (RHP/C, West Stanley, 2022) - 6 foot 1 190lb frame with upside. Collected two hits and three RBI during the early game. 

 

- 10:15 AM Games - 

D Bat Elite SC vs. KBC Blue

~ Player Notes ~

Cooper George (1B/3B, May River, 2021) - quick hands turned on an inside pitch to double down the LF line. Strong lower half with room for continued polish through the torso and upper extremities.Turned around a nice throw on a 5-3-6 double play.  

Matt Craft (C, Letcher County, 2021) - good catchers build. showed confident hands inside the shoulders and strong enough hands to handle balls at the edges of the zone. Will continue to follow him throughout to check on intangibles and athleticism. Made a nice play on a pop up at the back stop later in the game.

Jack Jevens (RHP, JL Mann, 2020) - battled through 3 scoreless innings showing good control of the FB and enough of a wrinkle to keep hitters off balance with a 64 mph breaking ball. Efficient delivery with good tempo. 

 

 

John Hayes (RHP, Madison Central, 2021) - large frame with a solid build, limited polishing needed to finish development. scattered 6 runs but settled in nicely in the middle innings. FB held at 74 throughout the outing and the breaking ball landed for strikes at 66. 

 

 

Daniel Keber (SS/RHP, Hilton Head, 2021) - Slight profile with good present athleticism. Played the early game with a noticeable energy level and good motor. SS with enough athleticism to extend his range and make occasional plays at the edges. Doubled deep into the LCF gap with surprising jump off the bat and carry. Closed the game on the mound with a FB up to 81 mph with life through the zone. 

- 12:30 PM Games - 

East Coast Bombers vs. SBA Futures

~ Player Notes ~

Evan Grant (2B, Wando, 2020) - athletic infielder with quick twitch movements. Raw ability at this point but high upside. Body profiles well at 2nd but could transition to the OF if needed. 

 

 

 

Darin Horn (RHP, May River, 2021) - Slender RHP with whip in the arm. FB ranged from 76-78 t 81 multiple times mixed with a sharp 70-71 mph slider with 10/4 shape. Showed feel for the offspeed and repeated the delivery through 3 innings. 

 

 

Boston Taggert (RHP, Charlotte Christian, 2020) - tall lanky build with long arms and legs. Made it tough to repeat early on but settled in later. FB 78-80 and SL held at 68-70 through 4 innings. 

 

Conner Boan (CF, Wando, 2020) - Rangy OF with good speed and efficient routes in the OF. Carried a long throw from CF back into the INF showing off a plus arm. 

Garrett Maner (SS/3B, Anson, 2020) - Medium profile with athletic footwork. Handled the SS position easily and slid over to 3rd later in the game and made a nice play there. 

Reed Garris (C, Wando, 2021) - Threw out the potential tying run at second in the bottom of the 7th. 

 

 

Gem City Throwbacks vs. Launch City

~ Player Notes ~

Ethan Woodard (C, Stuart Cramer, 2020) - has shown a strong catch and throw skill. Threw out a runner with ease earlier on and then recovered on a breaking ball in the dirt to throw out another runner in the fifth. 

J. Drzemiecki - filled the stat line with 4 hits, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs turning in one of the top individual performances of the event.

BodyShop Baseball vs. SC United 

~ Player Notes ~

Tanner Outzs (LHP/OF, Saluda, 2023) - picked up two hits and 4 RBIs in the winning effort. The medium profile with a stronger lower half has projection and will be worth following up with.

TPA Camo 16u vs. Driven Baseball

~ Player Notes ~ 

Caleb Carbone (RHP, Oceanside, 2021) - smaller profile with lean build. Quick arm from a H3Q slot ran the FB up to 78 with a 75-77 mph range and showed feel for a 64 mph breaking ball. 

 

 

SC Braves vs. RBI Reds

~ Player Notes ~

Mason Diel (1B, Charlotte Christian, 2021) - 6 foot 1 235lb frame with broad shoulders and thick lower half. Showed off the raw power with a towering home run to LF. Serviceable defender at 1B with quick feet. 

Mason Johns (RHP, Tennessee, 2021) - sneaky athletic RHP with a repeatable delivery. FB up to 81 with heavy tendencies. Showed off a short RH swing with a lofted path carrying a ball to the wall in LF. 

Jake Meltsner (RHP, East Meck, 2021) - long limbs and slender frame with upside. Easily repeated the delivery and controlled the game by locating the FB to both sides of the plate and mixing a nice breaking ball. 85 pitch CG. 

 

 

- 7:15 PM Game -

TPA Nationals 17u vs. Illinois Crush 

~ Player Notes ~

Michael Bunch (OF, Romeville, 2020) - 5-9 180lb frame with medium thick build. Has snap in the barrel with pop present driving a pitch well out to LF in his first AB. Showed a nice eye his next time up drawing a walk. 

Sam Kulasingam (SS, Holly Springs, 2020) - prototypical middle infield build with good mix of strength and athleticism. 6-1 160lb frame with good upside. Advanced bat to ball skills spoiling several border line pitches before squaring up two balls to the opposite field. Air Force recruit.
