TPA National Camo vs. South Charlotte Braves 

~ Player Notes ~

Matthew Giovannelli (RHP, Covenant Day School, 2021) - Worked 74/75 in the first two innings with a H3Q to OTT slot mixed in a 67 mph SL with 10/4 shape. 

Brad Rivera (OF, Providence Day, 2021) - Short swing with good bat to ball skills. Took an outside pitch the other way for an RBI ground out to give his team an early 1-0 lead. 

Todd Lautenschlager (INF, Myers Park, 2021) - 6-3 150lb frame, slender profile, high waist and rounded shoulders. Picked up two line drive hits in two trips in the early game, driving in a run with the second. Quick hands and feel for the barrel. 

RBI Reds 16u vs. Driven Baseball

~ Player Notes ~

Donavan Accerbi (RHP, Fort Dorchester, 2021) - Turned in a quality start mixing FB and CB. FB showed some heavy tendencies at times up to 79. Breaking ball with 10/4 shape 67-68 mph. 

 

 

 

Cooper Letellier (1B, Ashley Ridge, 2021) - Broad shoulders and thick build. Quick hands attacked a pitch in the middle of the plate with intent. Drove a low line drive into the RCF gap. 

 

 

Kaleb Meredith (LHP, University School - Johnson City, 2021) - 6 footer with an athletic frame. Showed good barrel release carrying a ball to the wall in RF for a 2 RBI triple. 

Cody Wheeley (RHP, David Crockett, 2021) - 6 foot 4 inch RHP with a long loose arm action. FB showed wiggle to the arm side at 75 and CB at 65.

D-Bat Elite vs. TPA Nationals 16u Camo 

~ Player Notes ~

Joey White (RHP, Savannah Christian, 2021) - Medium frame with a quick tempo delivery. Worked downhill and located low in the zone with the FB. Quick arm and ball jumped out of the hand early on. Rangy infielder with lateral quickness and and easy actions. 

Hazen Lancaster (LHP, Broughton, 2021) - thicker profile with proportional build, frame will support additional development and maturation. Worked downhill with FB that showed heavy tendencies at times. FB 72-73 and CB 64.  

TPA Nationals 17u vs. East Coast Bombers Showsquad 

~ Player Notes ~

Joshua Holloman (RHP, Broughton, 2020) - medium athletic frame with a repeatable delivery. Worked a quick first inning, locating well to the outside corner. 

 

 

Reed Garris (C, Wando, 2021) - drove a pitch deep to the wall in RF. Quick hands and plenty of juice to carry the ball to the wall. 

David Keith (Fuquay Varina, 2020) - Homered to the opposite field. Stayed behind the baseball and showed good extension through contact to carry the pitch out. 

Kris Blanco (INF, Cane Bay, 2020) - athletic build with solid profile. Ranged up the middle at SS to make a nice diving play. Loud contact at the plate, generates bat speed and has juice.

Illinois Crush vs. Launch City 

~ Player Notes ~

Vincent Sartori (RHP, Lockport, 2020) - Large frame and square shoulders. Stretch exclusive. Lands closed of his line creating a tough angle. Struck out the side in the 2nd using a 76-77 mph FB and a 63-66 mph CB. 

 

Tanner Powell (OF, Rosman, 2020) medium  build with a strong lower half. Picked up two hits and gives off a good presence in CF. Feel for the barrel and knows the zone. 

Michael Bunch (Romeoville, 2020) - 5-9 180lb frame. Collected two hits to RF and grounded out to 2B. He also showed good plate discipline working a 3-2 full count and eventual walk. 

 RBI Reds vs. KBC Blue

~ Player Notes ~

Kaleb Meredith (LHP, University School - Johnson City, 2021) - worked 4 scoreless innings for the RBI Reds. FB ranged from 73-76 in the 4th. Creates  some angle and FB has shown enough life to stay off the barrel.

Driven Baseball vs. D-Bat Elite 

~ Player Notes ~

Elijah Peter (RHP, May River, 2020) - lean athletic profile with proportional build. Repeatable delivery and good tempo. Controlled the game from the mound. Mixed a 63 mph breaking ball with a FB that topped out at 81. Struck out the side in the first inning on 15 pitches. 

 

 

Niko Laing (2B/3B, May River 2021) - smaller profile with good present strength. Showed the ability to release the barrel through contact and showed off a line drive bat path with a double in the gap earlier on and a sharp single to RF in the late game. Avg. runner, sneaky fast when he gets underway. Headsy player was smart on the bases and stole when he picked his spot. 

Christian Londono (OF/2B, Beaufort, 2021) - compact frame with a high motor. Tripled earlier on in the day and collected another hit in this game. Noticeable for his effort plays and high energy. Will be following him throughout the weekend. 

Riley Stokes (LHP, May River, 2021) - Durable frame with a long arm action on the back side to a H3Q release point. FB showed signs of ASR at times from 80-81 in his first inning of work. SL had 2/8 shape early at 72-74. 

 

 

KBC Blue vs. SC Braves

~ Player Notes ~

Jack Nash (RHP/OF, Lexington Catholic, 2021) - Lean athletic profile with a good build. Disconnected at times in the delivery leading to erratic control early on. FB 75-77 t79 and mixed a CH at 60 mph and CB at 69, both with developing feel. 

Mason Diel (1B, Charlotte Christian, 2021) - Broad shoulders and strong frame. Muscles the barrel through contact. Collected two hits, three runs, and three RBIs to fill his stat line. 

Logan Hall (LHP/OF, Myers Park, 2021) - lead off hitter for the SC braves picked up three hits, three runs, and two RBIs. Will be worth a follow later on this weekend. 

- 6:00 PM Game - 

SBA Futures vs. Gem City Throwbacks

~ Player Notes ~

Joshua Schwartz (MIF, Marvin Ridge, 2020) - Athletic medium build and flashes of raw athleticism. Quick hands and good feel for the barrel on a line out to CF. Will follow up with him later this weekend.

 

 

Zachary Cornett (SS, Greenon, 2020) -  compact frame at 5-9 165lbs. aggresive on a pitch on the outer half and carried it into the RCF gap for a double. Also the starting pitcher for Gem City working the FB at 70-71 and the breaking ball with feel at 61. 

 

 

Blaise Smith (1B, Hickory Ridge, 2020) - 5-9 150lb medium profile, strong through the lower half will room for continued development. Muscled the barrel through the zone to collect a walk off single scoring the final two runs in an 11-3 SBA victory against the Gem City Throwbacks.
