On Sunday, Oct. 21, PBR Wisconsin will host its final showcase of 2018 at STiKS Academy in Waukesha, Wis. Open to all graduating classes, the Southern Wisconsin Open provides a platform for all prospects interested in pursuing the opportunity of playing baseball at the next level following their prep careers.

There are nearly 60 prospects registered, currently, ranging from classes 2019 to 2022. For a look at this year’s roster, CLICK HERE.

Nine of last year’s participating prospects have since committed to play college baseball at schools like Madison College, Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

This year, there are plenty of names to keep an eye out for, including RHP/1B Arthur Liebau (Homestead, 2020). The 6-foot-1 two-way prospect is a top-40 ranked prospect in his state’s class and put together a quality performance when we saw him last at the invite-only All-State Games. Liebau sticks out for his work on the mound, specifically, but he’s also shown some bat speed and strength at the plate.

Another 2020 to watch for is OF Reyshawn Sprewer (Pius XI). We just saw the left/left outfielder at the end of August at the Eastern Wisconsin Open, where he showed some across-the-board athleticism. That was our first live look at Sprewer, so it’ll be interesting to see him perform once more.

The state’s Class of 2021 rankings were published for the first time in early September and OF/RHP Wilson Zuck (Appleton North) earned a top-10 spot on the board. The sophomore has some intriguing two-way traits, as he showed in an Iowa showcase back in July. There, he demonstrated some advanced bat strength from the right side and sat in the mid 80s on the mound. His attendance on Sunday will be his first ever at a PBR Wisconsin event.
