St. Charles CC Fall Prospect ID Showcase Results

To say it was blustery at the Fall Prospect Showcase at St. Charles Community College on Sunday is an understatement, but the wind didn't seem to have an impact on the players in attendance, with several impressive performances in the field and some power at the plate.

Showcase highlights include:
-Unsigned senior Cory Lubinski (Class of 2013, Pattonville) stock rose with an impressive display of speed (6.77 60), fielding ability (83-mph across the infield), and the ability to consistently hit line drives at the plate. 
-Class of 2014 Matt Jones (Vianney) putting on an impressive power display during batting practice, with deep drives to left and left center field 
-Unsigned senior RHP Blake Wellinghoff (Francis Howell Central) showing some projectability (6-foot-7, 210-pounds) with an easy top fastball of 86-mph and plus off speed pitches.
-3B Justin Gellman (Clayton HS) looks to be one of the top power hitters in the Class of 2015, and no slouch in the field either.
