Today's stock report takes a look at Caleb Bruner, a 2015 RHP/SS from Logan County HS.

Bruner established himself as a definite prospect to watch in the class of 2015 with a very good performance at the Louisville Prospect ID Showcase last month.  The 6-foot, 160-pound sophomore shows good upside on the mound.  He used solid mechanics and a quick arm through a ¾ slot to produce an 82-84 mph fastball with good arm side run on his 2-seamer.  His curveball sat 69-73 mph and shows 11/5 action.  He flashed a very good change up at 73-75 mph with good arm side run and sink that he throws with good arm action.  Bruner should continue to progress on the mound and add more velocity with additional physical development.

Offensively, Bruner hits from a slightly open stance with a short stride and shows good balance. He gets good lower half involvement in his swing and consistently barreled up the baseball, showing the ability to hit to all fields.  He registered a tee exit velocity of 86 mph.
