Game 1 against Colorado went Arkansas way with the offense leading the way scoring 11 runs. It all started in the bottom of the first after a two out walk by Cason Campbell, Trey Hill hit an opposite field 2 run home run. Each inning except for the 6th Arkansas scored. Major highlight of the game was Austin Gage Wood going 3 innings and allowing no hits and striking out 8. Trey Hill hit two balls hard one leaving the yard and one pushing the centerfielder to the fence. Kent Carlisle also added to the offense collecting two hits.

Pitching Highlights: 

+2022 RHP, Lucas Greer Catholic High School,  started the game going 3 innings, 5 runs allowed on 4 hits with 4 strikeouts, and 2 walks. FB was 85-87 touching 88. CB was 70-73 mph, CH was 82 mph. 

+2022 RHP Austin Gage Wood, Batesville High School, was stellar striking out 8 of 9 hitters in three innings of work allowing no runs on 2 hits, and walking none. His FB was 85-87 mph, CB was 69-71 mph, CH was 78 mph.

+2022 MIF, Cason Campbell, McCrory High School, went 1 inning allowing 1 hit. His FB was 84-86 mph, SL was 75-77 mph.
