The Top Prospects Games had 40 pitchers take the mound over the two days. Here is some of the pitchers who stood out for the Black and Green Teams.

Garry Hill RHP/OF 2016 Star City HS
Hill is a 6-foot 185-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and a physical build. He works from an H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm. He has a repeatable delivery with rushed rhythm. He commanded the strike zone with his fastball 84-87 mph. He threw his breaking ball 67-70 mph with early break. Overall Hill is a physical athlete with arm strength, as he develops mechanically he will improve.

Logan Easley RHP RHP/INF 2017 Heritage HS
Easley is a 6-foot 170 pound right-hander with a quick clean arm. He pounded the strike zone with a fastball of 84-87 mph that had late life through the strike zone. He has an advance feel for his secondary locating both his change up and curveball. Overall Easley has a clean arm action with a medium frame, and an athletic build. The fact that he is already showing the ability to pitch and advanced arm strength makes Easley a player to follow.

Michael King RHP 2016 Har-ber HS
King is a 6-foot-2 right hander with a large frame and an athletic build. He worked from an H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm with a slight wrap. He commanded his fastball 83-86 with some run. He  complimented the fastball with a sharp slider 72-74 mph. King’s mechanics were repeatable with balance and throughout his delivery. Overall with he is a large athlete with repeatable mechanics as he continues to develop he is going to be a pitcher to follow in this 2016 class.

Christian Goshen RHP 2016 North Little Rock HS
Goshen is a 5-foot-11, 175 right-hander, with a medium frame and a solid build. He has a quick arm from a ¾ arm slot. He could stand to clean up his arm action as he stabs in the back right now. He worked his fastball in the bottom half of the strike zone at 83-86 mph. The curveball was throw with sharp 11/5 break. The change up was thrown with fastball arm speed with and arm-side run. Goshen pitched 3 innings striking out 4 allowing just 2 hits and 1 unearned run.

Collin Cahill, RHP, 2016 Conway HS
Cahill is a 6-foot-3 180-pound left-hander with a large frame and an athletic build. He struck out the side in all three innings of work, mixing he 82-85 mph fastball and a 1/7 curveball with late break and depth. The 9 strike outs were impressive however he did walk 2 and hit 2. Cahill works from an H ¾ arm slot with fast arm. His lack of command at times, comes from lack of repeating the arm circle, other than that his mechanics are sound with repeatable balance and rhythm. Overall Cahill is a physical left-hander that will garner attention from some of the top college programs in the country.

Blake Wynn RHP 2016 Star City HS
Wynn is a 6-foot, 160-pound right-hander with an athletic build and frame. He works from an H ¾ arm-slot with a clean arm action. He worked the bottom half of the strike zone with a fastball of 84-86 mph. He threw his curveball that had 11/5 shape with depth at 68-71 mph. Overall Wynn is a good athlete that shows the ability to throw harder as he adds strength. He does a good job commanding the strike zone now.

Tyler Moreland RHP 2017 Genoa Central HS
Moreland is a 6-foot-2 180 pound right hander with a large frame and an athletic build. He pitched 2 innings allowing 1 hit and 2 runs while striking out 3. He located his fastball 83-86 mph up to 87 mph down in the strike zone. His secondary stuff lacked command and shape. Moreland works from an H ¾ arm action with a loose clean arm. He rushes through his delivery and gets very little extension or help from his lower half. As he develops both mechanically and physically he could turn into to a solid collegiate pitcher.

Jon Youngblood RHP 2016 Lakeside HS
Youngblood is a 6-foot, 200-pound right-hander with a large frame and an average body. He has average arm speed and works from a low ¾ arm slot. He pitched 82-85 mph with late run on his fastball. His slider had late side to side action thrown at 70-72 mph. He threw his change up with good arm speed however it lacked command. If he tightens up the body a little and gains more pitch ability with the change up. He will be a quality collegiate arm down the line. During his two innings of work he was efficient pitching to contact and allowing his sinking fastball to induce groundballs.
