As we head into the fall, we are beginning to see tons of 2024 graduates make commitments to play at the next level. Indiana's 2024 class features a deep crop of talent, with plenty of prospects still left on the board. Today, we take a deeper look at '24 RHP/1B Bailey Collins of Evansville Memorial HS.

Bailey Collins 1B / RHP / Reitz Memorial High School, IN / 2024

A two-way prospect with plenty to like, Collins has stood out at numerous events over the past year and has moved himself inside the top 100 of a strong 2024 class. On the mound, the durable, 6-foot-2, 220 pound right-hander offers loose & clean arm action with the ability to throw three-pitches for strikes. His fastball sits in the upper-80s (T 86 mph) and his faded, 73-77 mph changeup tunnels well off the fastball. Collins flashes the ability to control a 69-73 mph, 11/5 shaped curveball, as well. At the dish, the strong left-handed hitter generates outstanding exit velocities (up to 98.8 mph) to allow for pull-side power. The left-handed hitting first baseman sets up in a wide base and controls a short leg lift stride in order to rotate behind & elevate the baseball.
