Underclassmen Spotlight: Glenn Kubek, C/1B, De La Salle HS, Class of 2014



Today we catch up with Glenn Kubek, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound C/1B from De La Salle HS.

Glenn Kubek"Kubek is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound left-handed hitting catcher who possesses pull-side power potential.  He has a level bat path and an economical approach to the baseball. Kubek utilized his strong lower half to drive the ball with authority.  Defensively, Kubek had pop times of 2.39, 2.39, and 2.36 and was clocked at 68 mph from the crouch."

PBR: Have you ever attended a Prep Baseball Report event?  If so what were your impressions of the event?
Yes, I liked how the scouts watched closely and evaluated each player.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player?
I really don’t put too much focus on my strengths that much, I just play the game I love.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what are you most excited about this summer?
Bridgeport Bombers 17U, playing in college tournaments.

PBR: What are your goals both individually and for your summer team for the rest of spring and summer?
To be the best teammate I can be and to help my team win anyway I can.


PBR: What is your most memorable moment in baseball so far in your life?
Catching Pat Haynes’ two hit shutout at the Purdue University tournament last summer. 

PBR: What are your stats so far in the High School season?
Batting 400. 4 Home Runs, 2 triples, 4 doubles, 12 RBI’S
