Unsigned Senior Games Preview: Joe Drury

The Unsigned Senior Games are coming up on October 11th at Grand Park in Westfield, IN.  Leading up to the event we will be highlighting some of the top players scheduled to be in attendance.

Player Name: Joe Drury
High School: Center Grove
Primary Position: SS
Secondary Position: RHP

Notes: The 5-foot-11 178 pound MIF ran a 7.3 60 yard dash at the Top Prospect Games in June. Defensively, he made every play look easy with soft hands, a quick exchange and a loose arm.  He shows good range left to right.  Across the diamond was 77mph.  Offensively, Drury has a slightly open setup, showcasing above average bat speed and a level bat path. He recorded a high exit velocity of 85mph off the tee. On the mound Drury sat 79-82 with his fastball.  His breaking ball showed late action from an 11/5 shape at 68-69. The changeup was thrown with near FB arm speed at 72-73 with occasional sink action.  He pitches from a short 3/4 arm action with good arm speed and easy effort in the delivery.
