Hayden Ford, 1B/OF, St. Xavier HS, 2014

Hayden Ford 1B/OF who has shown well at multiple PBR events, most recently the Unsigned Senior Games at Northern Kentucky University, and the Fall Prospect Program at Morehead State.

With his 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame, Ford certainly looks the part on the baseball field.  It doesn’t take long to realize that Ford is very athletic for his size.  He is a 6.87 runner who moves well defensively and displays good bat speed as evidenced by his 90 mph exit velocity off the tee.

At the Unsigned Senior Games Event, Ford went 2-for-3 with a line drive single to left and used his speed to beat out an infield single as well.

A month later at Morehead, Ford was impressive to put it mildly.  He put his power on display, going 5-for-5 with 2 doubles, a triple, and a long home run to left.

Ford will be traveling with Kentucky Baseball Club this weekend to participate in the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, FL.  He is currently ranked No.43 in Kentucky’s 2014 class.
