Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Max Golembo

Golembo is a physically gifted 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete. The left-handed hitting outfielder ran the top 60 time of the day: an impressive 6.75. In the field, Golembo moved well and displayed a solid, accurate arm. Offensively, Golembo has a clean left-handed swing with good balance throughout. Golembo, who scored a 30 on his ACT, gets good extension through the baseball as he laced line drives.

The left-handed hitting Golembo led the Patriots with a .427 batting average in his first varsity season. He also drove in 20 runs and had a .562 on-base percentage. A 6.75 runner, Golembo committed only one error in centerfield all season. Aside from his athleticism, Golembo is also tough: he placed fifth in the world in judo championships, the highest finish for an American in 20-plus years. Also a top-level student.
