Updated 2015 Rankings Released

The 2015 class in Colorado is deep with talent across the state, headlined by prospects Nick Shumpert and Greg Pickett. The 2015 rankings reflect the talent these seniors have and the comprehensive coverage the Prep Baseball Report has in Colorado.
Nick Shumpert

The No. 1 player in the 2015 class is still Nick Shumpert (Highlands Ranch, 2015) Kentucky commit, who exploded on the National scene last summer as he toured the country stopping in San Diego, Chicago, and Cary, NC. The 6-foot, 180-pound shortstop is sure to have his name called this June. Shumpert just ended his regular season hitting .600 with an OBA of .722 due to being constantly walked. Shumpert was walked 20 times, and was hit by 4 pitches. He turned those 24 free passes into 33 stolen bases which was one of the top numbers in the country. Shumpert also hit 5 homeruns.

The No. 2 player is Mississippi State commit  Greg Pickett (Legend, 2015) who is menacing at the plate at 6-4, 215 lbs. The ball explodes off his bat as fast and as far as any left handed power hitter in the country. Picket hit 6 homeruns down the stretch to help lead the Legend Titans to a District Host.

Ryan Madden moved up to No. 3 on the list. Madden was dominant on the mound this year, and at the plate. Recruited to Oklahoma as a two-way player, Madden didn't disappoint going 7-1 on the mound with a 1.40 ERA. In 50 innings pitched he struck out 62 with only 10 walks. He also hit .450 with 6 homeruns on the season. 

Wyatt Cross (Legacy, 2015) was injured this spring, but the 6-foot-3, 200-pound left-handed hitting catcher who is committed to North Carolina is one of the best throw and catch receivers in the country with a 1.75 pop time, and mid 80's velocity from the catchers position

New to the top 10 is LHP and Southern Illinois commit Logan Soole (Monarch, 2015) coming in at No. 8 and J.R. McDermmott (Smoky Hill, 2015) at No. 9. Soole is a two-way player hitting .510 on the season with 2 homeruns, stealing 15 bases. On the mound Soole was an impressive 6-1 with an 0.77 ERA. In 45 innings pitched Soole struck out 73 and only gave up 27 hits. McDermott lead the Buffaloes to the playoffs by going 5-1 with a 1.88 ERA in the tough Centennial League. What was reall impressive was his 88 strikeouts in 53 innings pitched only giving up 36 hits.
