Updated Illinois Power 25 Team Rankings

By Drew Locascio

It was an important week for the Power 25, considering that it was the final week before 3A and 4A Regional action begins and it also featured the prestigious Steven Bajenski Memorial Tournament. Per usual, the tournament featured a number of the top teams in the Chicagoland area. Marist, the tournament second-place finisher, continues to ascend up the Power 25, now sitting at No. 7.

The Top six in the Power 25 remained the same after a busy week, with St. Rita, remaining at the top. The 29-6 Mustangs from St. Rita went 3-1 on the week, with their only loss coming to Marist (4-2).

Four new teams entered the Top 25 for the first time this season. Three-of-the-four teams went undefeated last week and are playing some of their best baseball at the right time of year.

Continue reading on for all of the details surrounding the last week of action as most of these teams prepare for their first taste of playoff ball – weather permitting, of course.
