We update the Team Rankings after a few weeks of conference play and there has been a shake up with some teams moving into the rankings due to a consistent performances, some teams have taken a fall due to losses that leave you scratching your head.

Fayetteville High School remains on top with a record of 15-2. Both of their losses have been at the hands of teams from outside the natural state, O’Connor HS from Arizona and Lee Summit West HS from Missouri. Conway jumps Bryant after defeating the Hornets in a 13 inning game last week. Bryant didn’t fall far, landing at No. 3. Followed by fellow 7A Central member No. 4 Catholic High School.

Cabot High School, Jacksonville High School, and Jonesboro High School continue to climb the poles, as they all just keep winning and lead their respective conferences. With the single elimination format of the state tournament, seating is everything.

Greenbrier High School, Harrison High School and White Hall High School are among the group headed in the other direction. Greenbrier falls due to a key loss on the mound, 2017 LHP Hunter Milligan is rehabbing a back injury leaving them without a clear number one on the mound. Harrison has had 3 losses in the last few weeks. While White Hall has been up and down beating 5A South leader Watson Chapel High School 13-2 and losing later in the week to Dequeen High School. If the season ended today, the 5A defending State Champions will miss post-season play.
