Jaytee Thomas LHP / OF / Ashley Ridge High School , SC / 2022

5-foot-8, 140-pound lean frame; LHP/OF. At the plate, Exit velocity of 75 mph. Set up in balanced stance with a medium high leg kick  Bat speed is solid average, uses a steeper attack angle that levels off through contact and finishes high. From the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 73 mph;displayed rhythmic footwork and a fluid exchange. Had a high ¾ slot and a short arm action. He clocked a 60 time of 7.68 at the event. On the mound, where he showed quick arm speed to the plate, he had a loose arm action with a side arm angle. He is a drop-and-drive type pitcher. He produced a fastball that came in at 66-67 mph; and topped out at 68 mph; has slight action on his running fastball. When he stayed on top of his slider (65-66 mph), his location was consistent; threw a sweeping slider with plus action. His changeup (63-63 mph) worked best in combination with his fastball. 


 

 

 

 

 

Marshall Carnahan C / Waccamaw, SC / 2022

5-foot-9, 155-pound lean frame with moderate projection remaining; C. Had a max exit velocity of 79 mph. Starts in open stance, has a small hand load that wraps the bat slightly and uses a high leg kick. Lands heavy on the front foot at times. Exhibited a steeper attack angle and flat swing plane, as well as solid average bat speed and a level finish. His throw downs to second topped out at 63 mph; his footwork was rhythmic and his exchange was fluid. Developing strength in the wrist and bend in the hips. While catching, he had a pop time of 2.30-2.34; Used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. He clocked a 60 time of 7.9 at the event. 


 

 

 

 

 

Walker Taylor 1B / OF / May River, SC / 2022

5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame with square shoulders and strong lower half; 1B/OF. Exit velocity of 80 mph. Starts in wide stance with the hands set in a lower position, uses a short stride to push the hands up and back. Displayed a more direct hand path that leveled off through contact and quick bat speed, and he ended his swing with a high finish. BP round was consistent in the RCF gap with line drives and occasional elevation. While in the infield, showed ability to throw up to 61 mph across the field; his hands were soft and his exchange was clean. Showed a short arm action and a high ¾ slot. He clocked a time of 7.6 in the 60-yard dash. 


 

 

 

 

 

Tynan McGonigle OF / RHP / Belton-Honea Path, SC / 2022

6-foot, 165-pound athletic frame with a good mix of present strength and projectibility, has added some lean strength since the NC/SC Border Battle; OF/RHP. Exit velocity was 77 mph. Setup consisted of tall stance and a quick load. Pushes the hands back and times it up with a medium stride and quick tempo, seems rushed at times.  Shows rapid bat speed and a slightly uphill bat path, and he ends his swing with a high finish. Developing pop to the pullside.  His best position velocity in the outfield was 71 mph. Showed a high ¾ slot with a long arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 7.39. Corner OF profile. 


 

 

 

 

 

Landon Sexton 2B / SS / York Comprehensive, SC / 2022

6-foot, 165-pound slim frame with long limbs and plenty of room to add mass with future player development; 2B/SS. Exit velocity was 84 mph. Started in open stance with a quick load, then used a short stride that landed softly to time the swing. Exhibits quick bat speed, as well as a flatter bat path that ends slightly uphill and a high finish. Occasional lag in the barrel and gap to gap power, will have a chance to develop as he gets stronger. In the infield, showed an ability to throw across the field at 67 mph; showed rhythmic footwork and consistent hands. Maintained his tempo throughout the fielding process and carried accurate throws to the bag with short arm action with a high ¾ slot. He recorded a time of 7.74 in the 60-yard dash. 


 

 

 

 

 

John Sherlock 3B / RHP / Fox Creek , SC / 2022

6-foot, 170-pound lean frame with sloped shoulders and proportional build; 3B/RHP. Exit velocity of 73 mph. Starts in balanced stance with a wrapping load with a small shoulder turn, then uses a short stride that lands slightly closed to time his swing. Shows average bat speed and feel for the barrel. Slightly upward swing plane and a high finish. In the infield, got throws across the field at 68 mph; showed a natural exchange and soft hands. Reactionary with good instincts and developing body control. Used a long arm action and a ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.54. 


 

 

 

 

 

Branton Little 3B / RHP / Wando, SC / 2022

6-foot-1, 150-pound projectable frame with length throughout; 3B/RHP. Had an exit velocity of 75 mph. Starts in open stance, has a slight wrap in the load and uses a long stride to time his swing. Showed quick bat speed, an upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. BP round trended to the pullside with line drives and occasional elevation. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 68 mph; his hands were soft and his exchange was clean. Developing body control. Had a ¾ slot with a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 8.08. On the mound, he used a ¾ arm angle with a long arm action while showing above average arm speed. Shows easy effort in his delivery. His fastball was 71-72 mph; with a max of 73 mph; shows consistent accuracy. Throws a sinking curveball 68-69 that has some accuracy and slight action. When he stayed on top of his slider (68 mph), his location was consistent. 


 

 

 

 

 

Michael Adams OF / RHP / Fox Creek, SC / 2022

6-foot-2, 175-pound athletic build with upside and substantial projection remaining ; OF/RHP. The right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 75 mph. Had a wrapping load then a short stride  Displays above average bat speed and a flat swing plane that is slightly uphill at contact, and he ends his swing with a high finish. Flashes of good pop present, pullside tendencies. In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 67 mph with some fade. He used quick exchange at the midsection and an athletic pro step to get the ball out from an OTT slot. He performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.83 with an easy running gate and long strides.
