Valpo Holds On Against Munster



In recent Northwest Indiana games, runs seemed like a premium asset; however, Friday's game, the scoreboard kept lighting up. Valparaiso took the lead early, and held on late, to beat Munster 11-8.

Senior John Olejniczak (2012: uncommitted), pitched well, to get the win, going 5 2/3IP, with 7 strikeouts.

Valpo took an early 5-0 lead in the 2nd inning, off the bats of Joe Gallinatti (2012: uncommitted) and Greg Thome (2012: uncommitted). In the bottom half of the inning, Munster cut the lead to two (5-3) with singles from Alex Del Rio (2014: uncommitted) and Collin Mudroncik (2012: uncommitted).
