James Beasley RHP / 1B / Herndon , VA / 2024It has been a few months since we have seen Beasley, but the jump everyone expected, has arrived. While it was a short outing, Beasley displayed the added arm strength. Got up to 93 a few times in his first inning of work with life through the zone. While the breaking ball was inconsistent in the few times he featured it, the velo alone brings plenty to be excited about as we move towards the spring.

Caden Blanck LHP / OF / Severn School, MD / 2025Low 80's left-hander with pitchability Bigger shaped gradual breaking ball and can land it consistently, showing it is effective early and late in counts.

Cooper Campbell RHP / OF / EC Glass, VA / 2024One of the best pitching performances of the weekend came from this VCU commit. The low slot right hander threw seven innings of shutout, one hit ball. Tallied fourteen strikeouts over the course of his outing. Campbell is one of the best "pitchers" in the state and is an arm that you know what you are getting out of him when he gets the ball.

Nate Carr OF / 2B / Gonzaga, VA / 2025Balanced, square stance, minimal hand load, and repeatable movements to allow for ability to find the barrel consistently. Compact strength in the frame and athleticism in actions.

Elijah Coston OF / LHP / Benedictine, VA / 2024Long and lean, athletic, and two-way ability. Up to 87 on the mound and ceiling left on both sides of the ball. Had a strong all around weekend.

Michael Cureton 3B / 1B / PDG Academy , MD / 2024Strong athletic frame that has really leaned up. Open and upright, length in the swing out front, and continues to impress on the offensive side.

Caleb Dillon OF / RHP / Deep Run, VA / 2024Proportional strength to the frame. Put on a strong offensive display last weekend. Not only has he shown the ability to hit for average, but also flashed some power at the plate. Short to contact and still generates hand and bat speed through the zone. Had a couple AB's where he was slightly out of time, but the length in the zone and adjustability allow him to handle spin.

Will Haacke OF / Calvert Hall, MD / 2025Square and athletic setup. Balance, stays in the middle, and hands are short to contact. Mainly gap to gap with some doubles power and a little more to the pull side. Like the natural loft in the swing, especially from the pull side gap to the line.

William Hurt SS / C / St. Christopher's, VA / 2025There are few players in VA/DC 2025 class that have the versatility of Hurt. Capable defender in the dirt, may end up in the corner outfield, but legitimately could six to seven positions on the field and handle his own. Left handed hitter with above average hand and bat speed and has flashed occasional power. As the consistency of the power production picks up, so will the interest. Intriguing and versatile athlete.

Zavion Jackson RF / RHP / Henrico, VA / 2025Jackson has been one of the most consistent and impactful bats that we have seen this summer and now bleeding over into the fall. Strong athletic frame and shows some feel for the barrel and power potential from the left side.

Cameron Lamb OF / C / Mechanicsville, VA / 2024Above average runner, has a chance to stay up the middle (catch/center field), and has flashed some sneaky power from the compact frame. The power has been inconsistent at times, but when he is seeing it, he can produce some run production to the pull side.

Dawson Langhorst C / Atlee, VA / 2025Wider base, short and quick stride, and stays simple with the hands and swing. Like the repeatability of the swing and the fact that there are not many moving parts. Extension out front and has some strength in both gaps. Solid first look of the Atlee junior.

Parker McRay LHP / OF / Atlee, VA / 2024McRay, while he has shown some ability to produce at the plate, is probably an arm first. Run to the low 80's fastball, get over breaking ball that he uses on both ends of the count, and a changeup with hard late fade. The changeup has shown flashes of the best pitch in the arsenal.

Colby Motley 3B / 1B / Hampton Roads Academy, VA / 2024Raw power, strength in the frame, and can impact the ball to all parts of the field. VCU commit that produced loud barrels in multiple at bats this weekend. Motley has an easy time getting to his power and will continue to grow as the hit tool improves.

Jorden Olivera SS / C / PDG Academy, VA / 2024Athletic and versatile. Can defend multiple positions, solid bat to ball, and has an easiness to his game. More contact/hit tool over power and his ability to impact the baseball should continue to progress as he adds more strength.

Landon Parker C / 1B / The Burlington School, NC / 2024Upright, hands are short to contact and attacks contact out front. Doubles power in both gaps and the simplicity of the swing will allow him to repeat and get consistent results.

Malachi Paschal RHP / Charlottesville, VA / 2024Continues to produce in game results. Misses bats, pitches, and has some starter profile. Above average spin on the low-mid 80's fastball that hitters have a hard time barreling up. Breaking ball is more of a show pitch and while he has the ability to get outs with it, the fastball carries the weight for this senior right hander.

Travis Peitz SS / RHP / Calvert Hall, MD / 2025Long levers, high waist, and lean strength. Projection left to the athletic frame. Slight crouch, loads into the lower half, and gets the front foot down on time landing on line. Medium length to the swing and gets solid extension on the swing out front. Showed the ability to work the middle of the field with doubles power to both gaps.

Max Perry SS / 3B / Myers Park, NC / 2024Lanky athletic frame, well above average runner, and the athleticism to stay in the dirt. Simple setup and swing with some sneaky power that he showed off last weekend. Unloaded on a ball over the left field fence, flashing some of the lean strength present. Really like this get for VMI and think Perry could be a guy to contribute early at the next level.

Miles Prusek SS / 2B / Collegiate, VA / 2024Fresh off of his commitment, Prusek displayed his hit tool and athleticism last weekend. Bat to ball, uses the whole field, and is a jumpstarter for an offense.

Mateusz Puszczalo C / OF / Hickory, VA / 2024Was good to see the offense show well for the Hickory catcher. Puszczalo has long shown the ability to handle a staff and anchor the position behind the plate. Thought he did a better job getting off of the backside and working into the swing. More rhythm and seemed more aggressive at the plate.

Matthew Sabale OF / LHP / Grassfield, VA / 2024Another recent commit to the defending DIII National Champion Lynchburg Hornets. Compact and athletic. Not a loud set of tools on the mound, or positionally, but gets outs on the mound and puts pressure on the defense from the batter's box. Sprayed it around at the plate this weekend and more of a contact bat with line drive tendencies.

Angel Santiago-Cruz SS / RHP / Severna Park, MD / 2024Santiago-Cruz is a physical athlete with power that shows up when the lights come on. Versatile in the infield and more than capable defender in a corner outfield spot. Has shown power production to all fields with the potential for more.

Michael Williams RHP / SS / Cosby, VA / 2025The recent Virginia Tech commit was dominant in his start last Saturday. Piled up eleven strikeouts through four innings. Long and lean, projection left, and the feel for secondary continues to grow. This arm has taken some big steps in the last few months and still has plenty of ceiling left.

Jackson Wise SS / 3B / Manchester, VA / 2024Recent commitment to Lynchburg, Wise continues to display the ability to hit. Balanced, uses the whole field, and has a really nice feel for the barrel. Some of the better bat to ball in the 804.

Jake Yeager RHP / OF / Archbishop Spalding, MD / 2024Short outing Sunday afternoon, but our staff got to see the electric arm speed from the Maryland commit. Up to 94 and sat mostly low 90's. While the command was a bit scattered, the fastball plays. Shorter shape with the upper 70's slider and flashed some hard action at times. Impressive arm talent that is poised for a big spring with Spalding.
