We Welcome Dan Jurik to the Prep Baseball Report Family

The Prep Baseball Report- New York family is excited to announce that Dan Jurik will be joining not only our staff here in New York as a scout but also will be covering summer collegiate leagues across the Northeast, including the prestigious Cape Cod League, The New England Collegiate Baseball League and the New York Collegiate Baseball League. 

Jurik most recently was the recruiting coordinator at St. John Fisher (2017, 2018). Prior to Fisher he was an assistant coach at Binghamton University for two seasons (2015, 2016). He began his coaching career at Fisher in 2013.

Jurik's playing resume includes being a three time All-Empire 8 Conference selection at St. John Fisher, holding the school's all-time record in strikeouts (201), wins (22) and innings pitched (226). His senior year he was the school's Male Athlete of the year along with being named the Conference Pitcher of the Year.

After his senior season, the Vestal, NY native, was drafted in the 25th round by the Atlanta Braves where he would spend 2 years in affiliated ball and 2 years at the independent level (Can-Am and American Association). In all, Jurik threw 309 2/3 innings as a professional with a career ERA of 3.92 over 4 seasons.
