Weekend Roundup 

#2 Huntington North 6 Richmond 5 –
Brayden Stell picked up the win as Huntington North pounded out 10 hits in the game. Kendall Whitman and Mitch Trieglaff both homered in the win. Drew Schnitz doubled twice and Cody Frazier and Evan Brown both doubled once.

#2 Huntington North 12 Richmond 2 – Trevor Storie moved to 8-0 on the year allowing just three hits in the win. Huntington North had 14 hits in the game and Drew Schnitz added his third double of the day.

#4 New Albany 9 Columbus East 3 – Josh Rogers improved to 7-0 on the season going four innings, allowing two earned runs, and striking out five. Shane Robison was 2-3 with three RBI and Zach Worral was 2-4 with two RBI.

#4 New Albany 18 Jennings County 13 – Eric Burnett had a big day at the plate going 3-5 with a double, two homeruns, and seven RBI. Zach Worral was 4-5 with two doubles and four RBI. Jordan Streigel drove in three and Logan Striegel was 2-5 with two RBI. Tucker Marcum finished 3-4.

 

New Palestine 8 #5 Pendleton Heights 0 – Brian Page threw a complete game shutout allowing six hits and striking out five. He also doubled and drove in a run. Alex Rejer was 2-3 with two doubles and a RBI. Stephen Clark and Reid Clark both had a hit and drove in two runs. Alec Shull doubled and drove in a run.

#5 Pendleton Heights 1 New Palestine 0 – Hunter Cook hit a walk off solo homerun to give Pendleton Heights the win. Mitch Patishall got the win throwing a complete game four hitter, striking out seven and walking two. Reid Clark took the loss allowing just three hits, one run, and striking out six in 6.1 innings of work.

#7 Columbus North 2 Elwood 1 - (2013) Dennis Brumfield hit a solo shot in the Top of the 8th for the game winner. (2013) Jesse Tompkins got the start for the Bulldogs and went 6 innings striking out 9. Hunter McIntosh came on in the 7th and threw 2 scoreless innings to pick up the win.

#7 Columbus North 13 FW Wayne 2 - Daniel Ayers got the start throwing 4 innings with 9 ks and 0 ER with 1 hit. Parker Shelton came on in the 5th and pitched the final 3 innings with 0 hits and 5 k's. Brumfield again hit a HR and led the Bulldogs at the plate with a 3-4 effort. Senior CJ Dennis hit a double and was 2-2 at the plate.  The Bulldogs are now 18-1 on the season.

#9 Homestead 9 Carmel 3 – Thompson picked up the win throwing all seven innings allowing five hits, no earned runs, and striking out five. Volz led the offense going 3-4 with a double, triple,  two RBI, and two runs. Michael Redden was 2-4 with two RBI, Austin Plasterer was 2-4 with a RBI, and Andre Jernigan was 2-4 with a run scored.

Lawrence Central 10 #9 Homestead 6 – Jaylen Quarles was 2-3 with a double, homerun, four RBI, and three runs. John Jones was also 2-3 with a homerun and two runs. Cameron Clinton homered and drove in four and Scott Swingle scored three times. Jacob Lane was 2-4 with a double and a RBI. Andre Jernigan was 3-3 with a RBI and Jake Weber was 2-4 with a homerun for Homestead.

#10 Elkhart Central 10 SB Riley 0 – Riley Futterknecht threw all six innings allowing just four hits, one walk, and striking out five. He also drove in two runs at the plate. Adam Raisfsnider was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs. Matt Eppers was 2-2 with two RBI and two runs, Austin McArt tripled and drove in three, and Tanner Tully was 2-3.

#10 Elkhart Central 7 Concord 1 – Ronnie Hawkins picked up the win on the mound throwing all seven innings, allowing two hits, one run, and striking out four. Jack Bernacchi and Adam Raifsnider were both 2-4 with a RBI and a run, Raifsnider tripled. Kaleb DeFreese was 3-5 with a RBI and a run and Cory Malcom drove in two runs.

#13 Center Grove 8 Terre Haute South 5 – Kody Kavanaugh led the offense going 3-3 with a homerun, four RBI, and two runs. Austin Combs was 2-3 with a double and a RBI. Josh Piper and Brad Walker both drove in a run.

#14 Penn 6 SB Clay 4 - Alex Hostetler singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth for Penn. Jordan Gosztola had three hits for the and Kyle Richard had two hits and four RBI.  Aaron Bond had three hits for Clay. Tyler Thompson picked up the win throwing all seven innings to improve to 6-2 on the year.

#15 Crown Point 9 Boone Grove 8 – Joe Hopman was 2-3 with two doubles and three RBI. Zach Plesac was 2-4 with a double and a RBI and Jake Lindeman was 2-3 with a RBI. Jenks doubled and drove in a run. Brett Bayer and Nickla added a RBI

#19 FW Carroll 7 Warsaw 4 – Grant Inman picked up the win throwing 6.1 innings allowing five hits, one earned run, and striking out six. Drue Tranquill was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and three runs. Grant Wilson was 2-5 with a homerun and two RBI. Ross Koble also had a hit and drove in two runs.

 

#19 FW Carroll 16 Warsaw 1 – Taylor Goshen threw all five innings allowing two hits, no earned runs, and striking out three. Grant Wilson was 2-2 with a homerun, three RBI, and two runs. Elliot Ford also went 2-2 with two doubles, a RBI, and three runs. Ross Koble was 2-3 with a double, three RBI, and two runs and Drue Tranquill was 1-2 with two RBI and two runs.

#21 Greenwood 4 Franklin Central 0 – Tyler Beck picked up the complete game win allowing just one hits, two walks, and striking out eight. Landon Fink was 2-3 with a run, AJ Vleck was 1-3 with a RBI, and Chad Honeycutt also drove in a run.

#22 Mishawaka Marian 13 Glenn 3 - Andrew Price had three hits and two RBI. Bobby Norell and Matt Gibson each had two RBI.

 

Sheridan 7 Lapel 3 – Jon- Michael Gunnels picked up the going six innings allowing four hits, one earned run, and striking out three. Adam Hoover led the way offensively going 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run. Curtis Moore was 2-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. Eric Price tripled and drove in a run and Cole Zeiler had two RBI.

Greensburg 10 Batesville 0 - Kevin Meyer threw all seven innings striking out seven in the shut out.

Greensburg 10 Batesville 0 - Riley Billieu got the win throwing 6 innings of shutout baseball with 4 strike outs and only allowing 4 hits. Austin Schultz was 3-3 with a HR and 3 RBI. Andy Meadows was 3-4 with 2 RBI and Luke Kane, Ethan Bailey, and Josiah Buell had one RBI each.

Greensburg 13 Jac-Cen-Del 3 - Luke Kane earned the win striking out 5 in the game. Kevin Meyer had a HR and 4 RBI, Austin Schultz had a HR and 4 RBI, and Clayton Tressler had 2 RBI. Macy Holdsworth, Andy Meadows, and Ethan Bailey each had 1 RBI.

Hamilton Southeastern 8 Crawfordsville 5 – Justin Striebel was 2-3 with two runs scored, Tre Gantt homered and drove in two runs, and Sean Green hit a solo homerun. Joel Naab was 1-2 with a RBI and a run and Westin Edrington doubled and drove in a run.

Hamilton Heights 3 Brebeuf 2 – Landon Cunningham worked six innings to pick up the win allowing eight hits and striking out five. Nic Pickett and Tyler Anderson each had a hit and drove in a run.

Culver 3 Westview 1 – Grandel picked up the win throwing 2.2 innings allowing three hits, no runs, and striking out two. Bartleman, McHugh, and Bjornson each drove in a run in Culver’s three run fifth inning that gave them the lead.

Northwood 4 Westview 3 – Will Kirkwood picked up the win throwing 6.1 innings allowing seven hits, one run, and striking out two. Chad Ervin led the way offensively going 3-4 with a double and two RBI. Hunter Lane was also 3-4 with a RBI.

Lapel 8 Beech Grove 5 – Jacob Young, Scott Silvey, and Evan Mohr each finished 2-4 in the win. Young drove in two runs, Silvey doubled and drove in one, and Mohr doubled and scored once. Boston Fields and Jacob Troxell both went 1-2 with a RBI and a run.

Lapel 4 Beech Grove 3 – Lapel scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead. John Magers threw the last three innings allowing just three hits, no runs, and striking out one. Adam Taylor was 3-4 with a double and three RBI. Jacob Troxell was also 3-4 with two runs scored. Brady Cherry and Scott Silvey both had two hits and Dane Mason drove in a run.  

 

Westfield 6 Decatur Central 2 – Luke Dietz threw 6.2 innings to pick up the win allowing five hits, one earned run, and striking out six. Nick Saldutti led the offense going 3-4 with a triple, three RBI, and a run scored. Wade Burtron and Brady Partlow both had two hits, Burtron double and drove in a run and Partlow scored once.

Westfield 5 Lewis Cass 3 – TJ Ehrman picked up the win throwing all seven innings allowing seven hits, two earned runs, and striking out 11. Jake Celleghin was 2-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. Wade Burtron was 1-3 with a RBI and a run scored.

Hamilton Heights 4 Twin Lakes 3 – Spencer Dull picked up the win throwing all seven inning allowing five hits, three runs, and striking out nine. Tyler Anderson was 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run. Ethan Engelhardt was 2-3 with a run, Colton Elbrecht had a hit and drove in a run, and Landon Cunningham also had a hit and drove in a run.

Eastern Hancock 6 Indianapolis Kings 4 – Coston Brown picked up the win throwing six innings allowing eight hits and two earned runs. Cody Wallace was 2-2 with a double, homerun, RBI, and two runs. Hunter Brown was 2-4 with two runs and Cole Fout drove in two runs.

Eastern Hancock 5 Indianapolis Kings 3 – Cody Wallace got the win throwing 5.1 innings allowing three hits, three runs, and striking out four. Hunter Brown went 3-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run. Cole Fout also drove in a run.

Hanover Central 10 Washington Township 4 – Dan Stum led the offense going 4-4 with two doubles, a triple, a RBI, and three runs. Riley Welch was 2-4 with two doubles and a RBI and Jesse Wilkening drove in three runs. Tyler Trepton and Nick Bollenbacher were both 2-4 with a double and two runs, Bollenbacher also drove in a run.

Pike 14 Warren Central 1 – John Eberhardt and Kevin Sharp both had big days at the plate. Eberhardt was 3-3 with two doubles, four RBI, and four runs and Sharp was 3-4 with two triples, five RBI, and a run scored. Mike Rueff was 2-4 with a double and three RBI.

Northview 4 Owen Valley 3 – TJ Decker picked up the win throwing five innings allowing four hits, two runs, and striking out seven. Zach Hull led the offense going 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored. Tanner Glenn was 2-3 with a run and Kodir Girton drove in a run.

Mt. Vernon (Fortville) 10 Shelbyville 4 – Drew Kammerer had a big day at the plate going 3-4 with a double, triple, two RBI, and two runs. John Weaver was 2-4 with four RBI and two runs. Logan Perdue and Tyler Langdon both went 2-4, Perdue drove in two and Langdon drove in one.

Shelbyville 10 Mt. Vernon (Fortville) 5 – Mitchell Mathies was 2-5 with three RBI and a run, Matt Simmerman was 2-4 with two RBI, Dylan Alvis was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, and Chase McColley was 2-3 with a RBI and a run.

Delphi 12 Lebanon 3 – Brett Hawn was 3-3 with two RBI and two runs, Karson Bender was 2-4 with a RBI and two runs, and Kaleb Salyer was 2-2 with a double and two runs. Ostin Clark homered and drove in three and Mason Lane doubled and drove in two.

Noblesville 6 Mississinewa 1 – Brock Masterson threw a complete game allowing just three hits, no earned runs, and striking out 12. Garrett Christman was 3-3 with two runs. Nevin Fansher, Steven Jones, and Nick Vallier each drove in a run.

Carmel 5 Terre Haute North 4 – Jack Thompson was 4-5 with double, RBI, and two runs. David Layman and Cameron Cruz were both 2-5 with a RBI and a run, Layman doubled.

Cowan 7 Blue River Valley 2 – Alex Delk went 3-3 with a homerun, RBI, and three runs. Byce Oxley picked up the win throwing four innings, allowing four hits, one run, and striking out one.  Kevin Kountz was 3-4 with a double and a RBI and Beau Wilson was 2-3 with a run for Blue River Valley.
