Recruiting news from around the state:

>> This week coach Mark Smith announced two more player commitments on its roster: RHP Dominic Quaranta (Washington University in St. Louis) and OF Nick Gould (Joliet Junior College). That makes 14 commitments on the Celtics? roster. Of their 16 seniors on the roster, 13 will be playing collegiate baseball next year. (Junior OF Brady Wilkin is verbally committed to Bradley.)

>> Webster University landed a pair of prospects: Harrisburg LHP/OF Isaac Behme and Glenbard East SS Max Oppenheimer. Behme, a two-way talent, is off a great start of the season for the perennial powerhouse Bulldogs.

>> North Park University landed two commitments: Zak Worsley, an OF from Ottawa Marquette HS; and Ty Gellinger, a left-handed hitting OF/INF from Lincoln-Way Central HS. Worsley batted .450 with 14 doubles, 8 triples, 17 steals, 40 RBI, and scored 63 runs.
