Shane Brown, a 5-foot-7, 155-pound two-way standout from Simeon HS, has committed to Oakland University in Michigan. The switch-hitting Brown enjoyed a breakout junior campaign, which earned him Prep Baseball Report third-team All-State honors. At the plate, Brown batted .467 with 33 RBI and 39 runs scored. In the field, Brown possesses a plus arm, as he was clocked at 92 mph at the PBR Preseason All-State Showcase.

On the mound, Brown posted a 9-2 record with a 1.63 ERA. In 60 innings, he struck out 114 batters.
