Two top 25 prospects have named their schools:

Kevin Ross, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound SS/3B from Niles West HS, has committed to the University of Michigan. Ross has seen his stock soar in June, as he performed extremely well at several high-profile events. At the Prep Baseball Report Top Prospect Showcase in June, he showed off his arm strength (88 across the infield), speed (6.84) and raw power at the plate. The right-handed hitter did the same at the Area Code Tryouts, which earned him a spot on the Chicago White Sox roster. In the spring, Ross batted .436 with 30 RBI and 16 stolen bases for the Wolves.

Jake Johansmeier, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound RHP/3B from St. Charles North HS, has committed to Eastern Illinois University. Johansmeier established himself as a premier prospect at the Prep Baseball Report Preseason All-State Showcase in February when he sat at 86-88 mph with his easy fastball to go along with a sharp curveball. He also impressed as a position player, showing arm strength (89 across infield) and soft hands.

On Wednesday, we reported that No. 1-ranked Brett Lilek, a 6-foot-3 LHP from Marian Catholic HS, committed to Arizona State.
