5-foot-8 135 pounds. Athletic build, room for added strength. (Running) 7.25 runner in the 60 yard. Added strength and maturity should improve these numbers. (Offense) RH. Max EV 81. Max Dist 278. Athletic in stance, base just outside of shoulder width, slight bend in the knees, hands held at shoulder height. Loose grip. Stride is direct to pitcher, lands slightly open with front side. Hips start to open early as he fires the hands. Slight push back with the upper body as the barrel comes through the zone, effects his ability to gain extension through the baseball. Releasing weight more to front side could help gain extension. (Defense) RH. IF velo 71. Moves the feet well initially, feet get stuck a little as ball is approaching. Efficient movements with the glove, no wasted actions. Gets into a consistent position to field and throw. Throws from a HTQ slot, room for added arm strength, plays best from 2B.

Alejandro Moctezuma, Salpointe Catholic (AZ), 2023 Positional Profile: 2B/SS Will be following physical development. Body: 5-8, 135-pounds. Smaller athletic build. Proportionate frame. Hit: RHH. Athletic in stance. Square to pitcher with shoulder width base. Slight bend in the knees, hands are held just above the back shoulder. Stride has a slight glide to it, hips slide. Hitting from a strong and more balanced base will allow him to produce more bat speed, hard contact. When hips stay closed he gets good extension through the baseball, balls are impacted well with good ball flight. Bat path works well, inconsistencies with body positioning. Power: 83.3 max exit velocity, averaged 77.1 mph. 300’ max distance. Line drives and hardest contact was to the middle of the field. Arm: RH. INF - 69 mph. Throws from a high 3/4 slot. Ball has 4 seam flight across the diamond. Throws from same slot on all balls. With added strength and size arm strength will improve. Defense: Hands are soft and the feet work well. Moves to balls laterally with ease and a good first step. Has a sure glove. Run: 7.56 runner in the 60.
