USA CNT: Showed a live arm and three-pitch mix. His running fastball sat 92-93 and an upper-70s slider had late cut. He also landed a couple changeups at 83-84. He filled the zone with all three offerings, pitching an easy 1-2-3 inning during his first appearance at the trials.

3/13/19

Uncommitted. Six-foot, 170-pounds, long, lean, wiry strength throughout the frame. Squared shoulders with strength down into the wrists. Average strength in lower half. High level athlete who gains lots of ground when running the bases. Projectable frame with room to add mass/strength with continued physical maturity. Didn’t play in the field this day, but did take pregame at third base where he shows off his athleticism and range to both sides. Arm strength is average with accurate throws. At the plate he starts slightly crouched using a leg lift and stride as his trigger and timing mechanism. Shows quick-to-fast hands and control of the barrel through the zone. Tends to lift his upper half into the swing and has enough quickness in the hands/bat speed to get barrel on pitches in on the hands. Shows a bit of a lift-and-separate approach that results in many balls in the gap
