Positional Profile: RHP
Body6-2, 200-pounds. Prototypical college pitchers build; proportional throughout, some strength and overall physical projection.
DeliveryArm works freely but not insync with lower half, needs to land before throwing, weight back is key to balance.
Arm ActionRH. Arm shows life, lower half mechanical changes/enhancements could increase velocity now, more velo to come.
FB: T87, 84-86 mph. 0:15 Fastball Tilt, 2259 spin rate (max) - 2170 spin rate (avg), slightly below-average MLB spin rates show potential for more down the line.
CB: 70-75 mph. 8:00 Curveball Tilt, 2623 spin rate (max) - 2346 spin rate (avg), above MLB average curveball max spin rate projects very well and gives this pitch plus-potential.

4/01/19

At Hart - Large frame that has a high waist and strength in the legs showing big squared shoulders; very projectable pitchers build that can make major jumps. Hands start at waist through paused side-step lifting with high front knee. Drives off toe riding back hip down the hill; stiff front leg with some late pop over it showing good back leg finish. Front elbow gets high creating some deception as long arm is compact to H-3/4 release point; times where the arm has some recoil especially with off-speed making pitches pull out of the zone early. Arm works cleanly and shows ability to repeat well. FB 78-79 T81 MPH with angle through the lower part of the zone using to both sides of the plate; able to go up the ladder to the glove side for some swing and miss. Times where arm wasn’t in sync with body creating late arm that was up in zone. CB 64-66 MPH with 11/5 shape and consistent bend with depth; feel for the pitch being able to throw early and have work through the zone for swing and miss. At its best it flashed above average actions with projection for more growth. CHG 71-75 MPH was straight with some late sink maintaining similar arm speed; feel came and went with most pitches diving through the bottom of the zone though did flash some early count feel and the ability to go to the pitch when ahead. Had some idea on how to pitch being able to change speeds and sequence pitches to keep hitters off-balance. That pitchability matched with a projectable frame and clean arm are all things college programs like to see in young players.
