10-24-2018: Large frame with high waist and sloped shoulders; good thickness in legs and torso/core area showing mature build. Hands start mid-chest dropping to waist on wide side step and raising up to shoulders with high front knee; delivery creates momentum as body rotates quickly before finishing over a stiff front knee. Arm is compact before getting to a higher- release point showing above average quickness and finishing through to glove-side hip. Fastball 88-93 mph was average working at higher velocity in early innings and having two-seam run when working at lower velocity while maintaining angle to the lower part of the zone during second and third innings. Changeup 74-77 mph flashed plus with late dive and ability to run under the hands on RHH; excellent feel for pitch using as first pitch and going to it back-to-back or even tripling up when needed. Excellent deception in pitch making it look like FB until late on arrival to hitters. Slider 80-83 mph with lateral cut; flashed average when pitch had later angle and short bite to it while staying off barrels. Times where pitch would back up towards RHH while shortening the break. Average control of the FB with better command of CHG and being able to go to pitch whenever needed. Frame has ability to be workhorse type pitcher (6’3/215) especially when FB worked at upper velocity during outing. (Ozella)
