Body: With a powerful body, standing at 6 foot and 185 pounds. Korey will get stronger and use that to his advantage.
Hit: With wide base, quiet lower half, there is ano wasted movement in Korey’s swing. He is able to get his hands inside the ball, also does a real good job at attacking the baseball where the pitch is thrown
Power: Showed opposite field power in the game, hitting a double to opposite field. With an exit velo of 95 mph, he also displayed some pull side power
Arm: With accurate throws across the field, Korey had good arm strength and accuracy. Getting his arm quick from transition helps him gather his lower half to make a strong throw.
Defense: With a solid lower half, pre-pitch motion was visible. A hop step to lateral move he was able to get to all baseballs. Gather to the middle of his body and smooth transition to throw.
Run: Posting a sub 7 60 yard dash(6.91) Korey displayed good running from and ability to get out of the box quickly and in control.
at Jesuit HS - Uncommitted; Lean athletic build, not physical yet though has hints of strength in lower half, plays smooth in the field, no challenging plays but made 4-5 routine plays look routine, easy accurate arm made it easy for 1st baseman, didn't need to let go big throws but showed carry with simple smooth arm stroke (played 3B in this game). Offensively was hitting off front foot a bit which could have been a timing thing as he has played his way back from a hand procedure and has only played in 6-7 games. Showed gap pop and easy run tool on double to LCF in third AB, went 4.43 down line on 6-3 put-out, did show some chase tendencies on breaking ball in 2K counts. Possesses intriguing tools and high ceiling projectability some refinements to make on the offensive side.
