Event: California State Games
Body: 6-1, 180-pounds. Broad upper body on frame with wide shoulders and room for size and strength.
Delivery: Small rocker step, simple lift while gathering just above the waist, in-line stride, has control of delivery, stable front side with balance at finish, works from 1B side of rubber.
Arm Action: Loose arm, some elbow inversion with slight shallow stab on backside, gets to high-3/4 release.
FB: T84.6, 81-83 mph velo range. 1961 max spin (1790 avg); Average movement, feel for zone and has strike-thrower ability and ability to pitch to edges. Uses location on rubber to create different angles and looks.
CB: 67-70 mph, 2093 max spin (1969 avg); Smooth rolling action, can land for strikes.
Body: 6-1, 180-pounds. Maturing build with noticeable gains since last viewing. Present strength in the lower half.
Delivery: Side steps into a mid chest knee tuck. Tall and fall type. Athletic delivery with rhythm. Shoulders stay over the hips. Works in-line with home. Clears front side. Some present head movement. Slight fall to 1B side at finish. Average lead leg block.
Arm Action: RH. Whippy continuous action. Loose medium path. Present layback. Elbow gets slightly above shoulder in action. Above average arm speed. Works to a 3/4 slot.
FB: T86, 82-85 mph. Straight action. Good extension allows for some extra perceived velo. Worked to all quadrants.
SL 67-69 mph. Slurvy break. Decent feel in zone. Tunneled well. Consistent armspeed and slot as FB.
CH: 75-77 mph. Straight CH. Drops slot slightly. Kills spin which lowers VB. Decent feel in zone. Good differential off FB.
Body: 6-0, 170-pounds. Long and lanky with some strength. Projectable growth and gains.
Delivery: Showed feel on the mound, command and control on display. Keeps glove and ball close to body before pointing and shooting parallel to the ground and firing towards home.
Arm Action: RH. Arm worked similar to his infield display. Consistent medium arm swing with some lower half engagement to generate power. Overall projects stamina and lack of overuse.
FB: T81, 78-80 mph. Commanded the pitch to both sides of the plate and up and down. T, average rpm.
SL: 70-71 mph. Classic high school 12/6 curveball thrown for strikes. Decent spin with potential for more down the line.
CH: 72-76 mph. Straight change with some late arm side fade. Speed a bit fast but contains quality spin rate differential from fastball.
Hit: RHH. Upright and open, takes a big step into hitting position, timing hitter, two-hand finish. Blast Motion scores 44/46/41. Average across the board but in need of further development. You can see his ability to get on plane when on time and connected when on time. As well, when he barrelled pitches was able to showcase his rotational ability.
Power: 82.00 max exit velocity.
Arm: RH. INF - 78.00 mph. Arm plays at the high school level, uses his lower body with some arm speed to generate power behind throws, accurate for the most part.
Defense: Read the ball well, multiple steps to get in a good fielding position, consistent. Limited lateral movement, corner projection.
Run: 7.56 runner in the 60.
