5/2/18 - Athletic catcher and leadoff hitter for the Golden Bears who is having a strong year offensively (.348/.445/.435). From a spread stance, he uses his hips well to help generate bat speed. Makes consistent contact despite a rigid, unorthodox setup and a dead start to his swing. Uses all fields. Knows the strike zone. Above average runner underway with good instincts (9-for-12 stolen bases on the season). Most throws showed fringe average arm strength. Threw one in Saturday’s pre-grame from his knees which showed average. He doesn’t have the typical power arm/power bat profile of many who don the tools of ignorance, but athletic catchers who hit are a tough find, making Greene a viable option during the later rounds of Day 2 or early on Day 3.
