5/18/19

Arizona State commit. 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. Osman continued his dominating string of performances by pitching the Mustangs into the 3A quarter finals by throwing his 8th consecutive game without giving up an earned run. Pitching into a a stiff wind on a dreary, cold day, Osman was able to carry a fastball that was consistently 85-87 touching 88 on multiple occasions from a 3/4 arm slot with a lot of arm side run. Osman's secondary stuff is special. He has a wipeout slider with late depth, especially against lefties that is 78-80 mph and uses a back-door knuckle curve on right-handers that is 76-77. Osman has a loose arm, and effortless motion towards the plate while being square to the plate which gives him exceptional control on all three pitches. The weather in Colorado has been exceptionally poor this spring, and each time we have seen him it's been 50 degrees or lower. Having had him at 89 before, expect him to hit that 90 to lower 90 mark when the weather is actually average temperature.  Osman pitched four innings striking 11 while only giving up 1 hit, bringing his 2019 record to 8-0. In 51 innings pitched he has only given up 14 hits against 3A competition that is good enough at times to challenge him. He has struck out 123 batters, and his ERA on the year is 0.00 while only giving up 1 unearned run.

4/23/19

Committed to Arizona State. Graham threw seven complete innings working at 87-88, touching 89 with breaking ball at 76-77. He used a back foot slider to get most of his 19 strikeouts, he walked two and had one hbp, while allowing no hits!   He shows excellent control with the ability to command both sides of the plate and using the first base side of the rubber to throw his upper 80's fastball that bores in to right handed hitters.  He also does an outstanding job of throwing downhill and almost all of his swing and miss pitches are swing overs where his ball demonstrates depth and creates the illusion of the plane where the ball is and then the depth forces to hitters to swing over the top of the ball.  His arm works easy and fluid and does not appear to be a max effort thrower in the least.

4/09/19

Committed to Arizona State. 6-foot-4, 185 pounds. Athletic left hand pitcher who showed smooth mechanics to the plate.  Lands in-line with home plate and falls off to third on his follow through.  Arm slot is from high 3/4 and is loose and quick through the zone.  Carried a fastball through a 5 inning no-hitter that was consistently 88-89 mph with good command both in and out. Plus pitch was the slider at 80-81 mph thrown for strikes. Swing and miss pitch. Cutter bores in on righties at 84-85 mph. On the season Osman has only given up 5 hits in 29 innings. Osman has not given up a run on the season and has struck out 67 batters.

10/01/17

10-1-17
