Benjamin Kohler: RHP/1B, (2027) East Hampton, CT. 6-foot-1, 155-pound athletic lean frame. Projectable on the mound, showed developing arm speed with a short arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall feel type pitcher who uses easy effort. Balance point is tall with downhill in line shoulders during delivery. Lands square with upright an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 67-70 mph; showed sinking action and arm side control. (Max spin 1829; Avg 1720). His 1/7 curveball (58-60) showed early action and glove side command. (Max spin 2011; Avg 1895). His changeup (62-64) had arm side command and fading action.
Benjamin Kohler: RHP/1B, (2027) East Hampton High School, CT. 6-foot, 140-pound slim athletic frame. Capable at the plate, Kohler recorded an exit velocity of 74 mph. Started in a balanced wide stance with a high load, then used a controlled stride. Has a level loose swing plane, developing bat speed and good extension on his finish. Was able to create some loud contact and found some barrels. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 61 mph; showed smooth feet, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a ¾ slot and a short loose arm action. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 8.66. Capable on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a short loose arm action with developing arm speed. Tall-and-fall feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. He has in line shoulders and a consistent balance point. Lands soft with an athletic upright finish. Threw his fastball 60-63 mph; had a command down in the zone that shows straight movement. (Max spin 1903; Avg 1739). His curveball (52-53) showed slurvey action and glove side control. (Max spin 2054; Avg 1989). His changeup (55-57) has early fading action and arm side command.
