5-foot-9, 130-pound, thinner, wiry strong athletic frame, room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, a wider setup, feet are even. The hands are relaxed at the shoulders, more of a flat setup, for timing uses a small toe tap, backside is engaged, with drive. The swing is short to contact, a level to up path, finishing with two hands at shoulder height. The approach is more line drives from the middle to pull side, had an exit velocity of 77 mph, with a ton more in there as he strengthens over time. The hands and swing work with minimal effort. Defensively, shows quick feet in the transfer, arm action longer on the backside, working from a higher slot. The pop time was clocked at 2.30-2.45, with an arm strength at 64 mph. Slight recoil on the finish, could finish throw more, will aid in more arm strength. Moved well in bullpens getting behind the baseball on the catch.
