Connor McCue: OF/1B, (2022) out of Suffield, CT. is a lean, athletic 5-foot-8, 160-pound outfield prospect. In the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 85 MPH, with a (64.05 mph bat speed average) and (19.81 mph hand speed average). McCue starts in a wide, crouched stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A small load initiates a swing that takes an uphill path through a high finish. In the outfield, he was 78 MPH on his throws while showing he has a clean exchange, soft hands, and athletic feet. He moves well laterally, fields the ball out front, using a high ¾ slot. McCue also showed some quickness with a 60 time of 6.96.

5-foot-8, 155-pound, strong, solid athletic frame, with room for added strength gains. A right-handed hitting out fielder, at the plate starts even and wider. The hands are relaxed and loose at the shoulders, uses a simple pick up and put down with stride foot. The swing is short to contact, level through the zone, and finishes at shoulder height. Small cut off at the end, could stay through it a tick longer. The exit velocity was clocked at 81 mph and is a good runner at 7.0. Defensively, threw 65 mph, arm action is clean, working from a higher slot. The approach is under control, shorter stride, could lengthen will help with release point out front. Continued work on all mechanics, will aid in his game.
