Frank Boutot: 1B/LHP, (2024) Southington, CT. 6-foot-2, 195-pound projectable athletic build. Projectable during batting practice, the left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 93 mph. (68.2 mph bat speed average). (21.1 mph hand speed average). Begins in a narrow closed stance with a controlled load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was developing, shows an uphill loose swing plane and a front foot finish. Was able to create loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Athletic while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 80 mph; had a natural exchange, developing soft hands, and developing athletic footwork. Movements laterally were developing athletically and he fields the ball out front. Using a quick arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.74 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable and athletic on the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a long loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Tall balance point with falling off shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 83-84 mph; had command arm side around the zone and running action. (Max spin 2460; Avg 2307). His curveball (67-68) showed sweeping action and glove side around the zone command. (Max spin 2469; Avg 2361). 

Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 195-pounds, longer, lean athletic frame, proportioned well. A left-handed hitter, shows an advanced approach, driving the baseball gap to gap. The swing works with minimal effort, a level to up path creates natural lift to it. The exit velocity was clocked at 89 mph. Defensively, is super smooth at 1st base, the glove is soft, works under the baseball, clean transfer into easy flow. Off the mound, smooth delivery from the full motion, hands have timing with leg raise, the stride is shorter cold lengthen a bit, upright finish. The arm action is clean working from a higher 3/4 slot. The fastball touched 85 mph, hides the ball well, with late life and jump to it. Mixed in a plus changeup at 78 mph. showed a late tight breaking slurvy breaker at 66 mph. Love the projection in both sides of the field.

Projectable on the mound, showed lightning arm speed with a short loose arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo stretch only type pitcher and uses easy effort. He has in line shoulders and a strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 81-83 mph; has sinking late action and arm side command. (Max spin 2335; Avg 2236).
