10.7.18

6-foot-1, 160-pound, longer, lean, athletic frame. The neck is long, shoulders are thin. A left-handed pitcher, works from the set position, hands start and stay low. The backside lower half is strong,  loses some leverage at the waist during separation, good stride length and gets out front on the finish. The arm action is short and quick on the backside, works out of a natural ¾ slot. The fastball comes out of his hand ok, clocked at 78 mph, with down action to arm side. The breaking ball was clocked at 64-67 mph, more horizontal break to it. The change up showed to have fade to arm side at 67-68 mph. Times to the plate where at 1.78. At the plate, hits from the right side, hands are held at shoulders, feet are even, gains ground with stride foot. The hands stay inside the baseball, barrel is in the zone a good amount of time, looking to spray the baseball to all fields. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 79 mph, and ran a 4.47 on a dig to first base, moves well, long strider. Threw 76 mph from the outfield, throws were down hill, with clean accurate footwork. Projects off the mound for me.

Home-First: 4.47

Exit Velocity: 79 MPH

Arm Velocity: 76 MPH

8.23.18

6-foot-1, 159-pound, long, lengthy athletic frame. The shoulders are rounded has room for added weight. A two way player, a left-handed pitcher and worked out in the outfield. Off the mound, delivery is simple, works from the set position. The arm action is loose, clean and works with a longer path, comes out of a ¾ slot. The direction is in line, minimal pull with the front glove, gets good extension out front on release of the baseball. The fastball has sink down in the zone, 2-seam has action to it, clocked at 75 mph, more in there as he adds strength. The breaking ball was thrown for strikes, the spin and tilt are correct, clocked at 66 mph, pounded it in th4e zone. Loses some leverage at the separation, weight gets over midsection, has more in there if he can stay taller. At the plate, hits from the right side, feet start even, hands held higher than shoulder height. For timing uses a bigger leg kick, gains ground with stride foot. The approach is more to pull side, swing could flatten, gets uphill. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 78 mph and ran a 7.98. Defensively, from the outfield, arm was clocked at 78 mph, arm works with easy effort, steps through with back leg during the transfer. Projects for me off the mound, the spinner has a chance to be an above average pitch at the next level.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.98

Exit Velocity: 78 MPH

Arm Velocity: 78 MPH
