5-foot-8, 145-pound, has an above average athletic frame, the neck is long, shoulders are sloped and well proportioned out has some fast twitch actions to him. A right-handed hitter, best tool at the moment are his legs and arm strength. The sixty time was clocked at 7.3, advanced for his age, look for it to drop as he gets stronger and understands how to run. At the plate, hits with an even stance, slightly wider than shoulder width, hands start above the back shoulder, bat starts in a flat angle. For timing uses a controlled leg kick, stride is inconsistent, steps in at times. The swing is down to level, gets out and around it at times, needs to stay through it longer, keep the barrel in the zone longer. The bat speed is good, tee exit velocity was 80 mph. Defensively, has good prep steps in the infield, fielded ballout front and in the center of his body, kept feet moving throughout. The arm action is shorter, with crank action to it, ball comes out of a high ¾ slot. The arm velocity was clocked at 70 mph, across the diamond. Showed to be athletic on the slow roller. In the outfield, arm was clocked at 73 mph, carry was good, throws were down hill. The prep steps, were under control, could attack the baseball more aggressively, might have more behind the ball on throws. On the mound, this right-hander, works out of a controlled delivery, it's simple, could stay back slightly longer. The frontside is strong and stays closed throughout, stride is slightly across his body. The arm action is shorter and ball comes out of a high ¾ slot. The fastball was 66-69 mph, located for the most part to both sides. The changeup was clocked at 59-61 mph, needs to be consistent with arm speed, trust it. The breaking ball was at 57-59 mph, had more sweeping action to it. Times to the plate 1.44. An athletic kid, projects for me as more of a corner infielder or could very easily move to centerfield, solid follow down the road.
