Jorge Hitlin: 1B/LHP, (2025) Westhill, CT. 5-foot-10, 190-pound mature strong build. Above average during batting practice, Hitlin displayed an exit velocity of 88 mph, Highest at the event. (67.8 mph bat speed average). (19.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in an athletic tall stance with a rhythmic load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was above average, showed a loose upward swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average advanced while in the infield, made throws up to 75 mph; shows a twitchy clean exchange, smooth feet, and next level hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a ¾ slot with a short loose arm action. Projectable on the mound, showing good arm speed he used a longer arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall stretch only type pitcher and shows easy effort. Showed strong balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 75-77 mph; showed sinking action and arm side command. (Max spin 1944; Avg 1797). His curveball (62-64) had slurvey early action and glove side control. (Max spin 2297; Avg 2212). Had arm side command and fading swing and miss action on his changeup (72-74). Love the projection off the mound, Two-way player to follow.
