2/23/19

5-foot-11, 190-pound, solid, average athletic frame. Worked out off the mound and in the field. This right-hander works from an over the top slot, the fastball reached 65 mph, with a top to bottom break on curveball, clocked at 54-56 mph. Showed feel for the change up at 53-56 mph. Works from the set position, more of a slide stepper, gets it and goes, small collapse on back side. Threw all three pitches for strikes, if able to get arm away from head, might help with velocity. At the plate, feet are even and spread out, lower hand set, keeps the hands inside the baseball, looking to go back side approach. The path is flat through the zone, finishes swing with two hands, could stay through it a tick longer. The tee exit velocity was 75 mph. Defensively, average defender, works low to ground, weight leaks forward in transfer, could stay back a tick. The arm was clocked at 63 mph across the diamond from a higher slot.Projects more for me off the bump, a regimented throwing program will aid in his development.

Tee Exit Velocity- 75 mph
Arm Velocity- 63 mph
