5-foot-9, 182-pound, average athletic frame. Shoulders are sloped, well proportioned, strength throughout. A right-handed hitting catcher, showed well on both sides of the field. At the plate, feet are even, hands held at the shoulders, bat starts in a tilted position. For timing uses a small controlled toe tap. The swing is level through the zone, keeps the hands inside the baseball. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 81 mph and ran a 7.66 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, actions and movements are smooth. The foot work is clean, gets in line to second base on the transfer, could quicken a tick, but they work well. The frontside is locked down, with minimal pull to it. The arm action is clean, works out of a ¾ slot, clocked at 71 mph, with a pop time of 2.16-2.18. Speed and quickness is a must, but present mechanics are sound, with feel for his craft behind the plate.
