A left-handed hitting catcher, defensively, had a pop time of 2.22, arm was clocked at 70 mph, from a ¾ to high ¾ slot. The feet look to be quick, gains ground in transfer. The glove could worker quicker across the face in transfer phase. Setup is slightly side saddled, hands are soft on the catch and looks to be athletic on the block and scramble. Pop time should decrease with added arm strength, all catching mechanics are clean. At the plate, swing is short to contact, could stay through it a tick longer, hands look to stay inside the baseball. The feet are even based, simple pick up and put down on stride foot.
