Second PBR event for Matt, showed extremely well this time around. Worked out both as a position player and pitcher. At the plate, the stance looked to be slightly wider than the previous workout. The lower half was much more direct and under control. The hands are set at shoulder height, are loose and really work. The tee exit velocity was 79 mph, up a tick from the fall. Showed a good gap to gap approach, made solid contact in both rounds. In the outfield, he shows an above average arm at 85 mph, works downhill with plus carry. He is very aggressive attacking the ball with solid routes. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. First time I’ve seen him off the bump and it's usable. Comes at you out of a high- ¾ slot, fastball was in the high-70s, with more in there. Showed plus feel for a curveball or small slider at 69-70 mph. Not much of a change at this point, the arm is clean and should be able to improve with some work. The delivery is simple, needs to lock down frontside a bit more and land softer, can fix it with reps and practice. The arm looks to be fresh, it's clean and quick. He continues to impress, definite guy to follow, has some athleticism to him, plenty of room to fill out.

A left-handed hitting outfielder, at 6-foot, 150-pounds the frame is long, lengthy and wiry strong and is athletic. The shoulders and back are wide, shows to have plenty of room to add weight on. In the outfield, the prep steps are good, attacks the ball, transfer is clean gets a bit violent and losses the frontside, but that's out of intensity and effort. The arm registered at 85 mph, the arm works, it's quick, short on the back side. Throws were down hill and gave the catcher something to handle. At the plate, the stance is even, balanced and a little wider than shoulder width. The hands are set at shoulder height with some movement to them, they’re loose and free. The path is ok, needs to keep them inside the ball and let it get to him. The tee exit was 78 mph and ran a 7.07 60-yard dash, look for both of them to improve. I’ve had the opportunity to see him play in game action prior to this event and he was really good. Definite guy to go watch in spring, may need to watch him a couple times.
