5-foot-11, 165-pound, average athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, longer neck, back is wide has room for future development. A right-handed hitting catcher. The top tool is ability to receive, block and throw the baseball. The setup is low and wide to the ground, hands are soft, clean and sticks the pitch. Works hard on the dirt balls, quick to feet after the block. The pop time was clocked at 1.96-2.07 and arm was clocked at 72 mph. All throws were on or close to bag, with carry. Looks to really like his craft back there. At the plate, starts slightly open, high loose relaxed hands. For timing uses a small pick up and put down with stride foot. The swing is down to level, has bat speed, clocked at 80 mph and ran a 7.25 sixty-yard dash. The approach is more middle of the field, shooting one line drive after another. Will be a solid pick up for someone.

Bard College / Scout Weekend Lean, athletic build for Rodriguez who checks in at 5-foot-9 150 pounds. Offensively- Balanced, line drive stroke at the plate with some future strength that will come. Easy efforts with some occasional juice to his pull side gap. With continued at-bats his approach will improve; swing will play at the higher levels. Defensively- Quiet setup behind the plate; gains ground on throws with traditional catcher's arm action. Arm slot is high 3/4, almost straight over the top. Pop time ranged from 2.14-2.21 with arm strength of 71 MPH.
