AJ Tartaglino: C/OF, (2027) Oliver Wolcott Technical High School, CT. 5-foot-8, 135-pound slim athletic frame. Above average projectable in the box, the hitter's best exit velocity was 87 mph. (67.5 mph bat speed average). (19.7 mph hand speed average). Starts in a tall balanced stance with a high rhythmic load, then uses a short controlled stride. Had a short swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. He produced tons of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap line drive approach. Behind the plate, he made throws to second at velocities up to 71 mph; has a quick developing transfer, soft hands, and athletic quick feet. he produced a pop time of 2.22-2.25. Narrow athletic setup with some flexibility. Used a high ¾ slot and a loose quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a time of 7.63 in the 60-yard dash.
