Devin Cortes: 2B/RHP, (2025) Ridgefield High School, CT. 6-foot, 185-pound athletic strong frame. Above average at the plate, the hitter's 89 mph exit velocity ranks him 1st at the event. (62.1 mph bat speed average). (18.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a tall athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, shows a flat simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Line drive gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 73 mph; had soft hands, a developing exchange, and smooth footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. From a ¾ slot, showed consistent accuracy to the base with a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 8.44. Solid on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle and a longer loose arm action while showing developing arm speed. Tall-and-fall stretch only type pitcher who uses easy effort. Has a low strong balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish.
