Gage Kosak: RHP/1B, (2026) Lewis S. Mills, CT. 6-foot-5, 180-pound long lengthy frame. Raw projectable during batting practice, Kosak clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. (66.5 mph bat speed average). (19.0 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic tall stance with a smooth load, then used a long controlled stride. Bat speed is above average, has a loose level swing plane and a front foot finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Up the middle pull side approach. Solid projectable while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 78 mph; had a lengthy exchange, soft hands, and developing footwork. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Used a ¾ slot and a loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.3. Above average on the mound, used a long loose arm action and an over-the-top arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Tall-and-fall stretch only type pitcher and shows easy effort. During his delivery balance point is tall with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Sat with his fastball at 80-81 mph; shows sinking action and command down in the zone. (Max spin 2131; Avg 2023). Threw a 2/8 curveball (69-71) with glove side control and tilt hard action. (Max spin 2342; Avg 2175). Lots of projection off the mound.
