At 6-foot-5, 205, the frame is very big, large and long. This lefthander works out of a high-¾ slot. The leg raise is easy and the direction to the plate is sound. The fastball was 75-76 the first inning and in the second was 76-78. The arm is clean for the most part, he might open it a bit early on the backside, needs to stay back so the arm is on time. The lower half can come through a bit quicker at the end, with more leg drive, more backside finish. I think if he can get the motion to quicken up and keep the body back, the ball should come out quicker. The curveball was 65-68, had the correct spin and tilt to it. Changeup was sold with good arm action and had more of a fade to it. He’s big and left-handed, is the QB on football team, athletic, velocity should climb over time, stay on him.
