6/12/18: hits from right side crouched open setup in box. Back and drive load with some hand wrap for trigger. Showed good bat speed with an uphill bat path and line drive ability. Some choppiness to rhythm in swing. In the OF showed choppy footwork, clean exchange on throws with average arm strength and some stiffness in arm action.
2/25/18: 60 Time: 7.24, Position Velocity: OF-82, Exit Velocity: 86
6-foot-2, 170 pound junior has gained weight and some more strength in his swing since we saw him last. Better balance with more fluid actions then previous showcase. Long frame and limbs, uses an athletic setup with small stride and separation in swing. Long hand and bat path through the hitting zone, creating dead pull side approach with some juice and lift when arms get extended and on time. Average bat speed, more to generate in frame and usage of the lower half. Create some over rotation and spin of the front foot to finish. Outfielder frame with average actions at the corner outfield position, plays well through the baseball. Average arm strength with short OT arm swing, delivered baseball with accuracy and carry. Fielded the baseball out front with soft hands. Average runner.
7/25/17: Home to 1st: 4.9, Position Velocity: INF-75/OF-77, Exit Velocity: 84
6-foot-2, 160 pound junior owns a long, wiry frame with long bat speed through the zone from the right side. Wide stance with bend to start, using a foot tap to load and start the swing. Hands bury and cast away from body to attack the baseball. Swing gets long as the hands start to enter the hitting zone with arm bar, upper half has tendency to collapse over the plate through contact. Creates no separation in the swing resulting in the weight shift to the front side early. Loose, long frame has some twitch when gets arms extended through the baseball. Corner outfielder, delivered throws from high ¾ arm slot from the outfield with arm side run to bases. Hips worked tight through the throw, resulting in max effort of upper body and arm. More in the lower half and feet to use in throw. Travelled with the baseball at times before getting into crow-hop and getting rid of baseball with clean exchange.
