2/16/2019: Dalton Roush, 1B/C, Shoals HS, 2020, 6 foot, 183 pounds, showed us good rhythm at the plate again with the controlled lift and separation. Hands get back a little early and he carries them forward to stride. Had an exit velo of 88 mph. Shows average feet and actions at first base with long arm action and threw 76 mph across the diamond.

1/6/2019: Dalton Roush, 1B/C, Shoals HS, 2020, 6 foot, 183 pounds, Hits from open stance, uses leg kick to load. Has a solid forward move to launch with good barrel position which helps him barrel balls consistantly. Recorded exit velo of 88. Defensively, recorded pop times of 2.11-2.22. Dalton catches and blocks well, and he recorded a catcher velo of 74.

2/24/18:  6-foot, 183 pound catcher displayed pop times ranging between 2.19-2.36.  Throws topped 70mph from a high 3/4 slot.  Flat, fluid footwork behind the plate.  Average hands, quick to block.  Hits from an open setup with long stride after leg kick.  Level bat path, creates extension.  Produced hard contact.  Line drive approach.  Average balance.  High exit velocity of 77mph.

6-foot-0, 200-pound, RHH hits from an open stance, loads back with front foot and uses a long stride to engage lower half, can improve firmness of backside, flashes occasional power with a short path to the baseball. Shows average arm strength for age from behind the plate, tends to hop with footwork, pop times will improve as arm strength and footwork does. Young player with solid potential.
